2014 Sound Rules for Brick Pond:
1. The IMPBA 92dbA maximum sound rule will be strictly enforced.
2. Mufflers or muffled pipes are required.
3. A muffler is any device that is capable of reducing sound levels by 3dbA. Ineffective mufflers will be targeted by the sound officer and changes will be suggested for the next race. The "unmuffled" boat will be allowed to finish the race weekend without any penalties as long as the 92dbA level is not exceeded.
4. A tuned pipe with an internal stinger is a valid muffled pipe, but an add-on muffler is also recommended.

The goal to this rule is to preserve our race ponds. If you want a place to race in the future, please make an effort to make your model power boats as quiet as possible. This is all for the good of the hobby. Some Stony Pond members have gas and nitro boats running 65+ mph at 79 dbA, so quiet is very possible.
Thank You!!
