To all Drivers & Pit Crews, welcome to 2014 , we expect to have a great 2014 season !
The New York State Championship Series will consist of 5 races held at Brick Pond in Elmira, NY, on the following dates:
May 17 & 18
July 19 & 20
August 16 & 17,
September 13 & 14
October 4 & 5
Points will be earned in classes that have 3 or more entries, NYS Championship
Shirts will be awarded in all classes that run at least 50% of the races. Drivers will
accumulate points in their 4 best of the 5 races.
We welcome a new club, the Rochester Model Boat Club. They will host a race at a
Rochester area location on June 7 & 8. They have decided to follow the same class
structure as used at Southern Tier races at Brick Pond. We offer to include the
Carey Lake race in the New York State Championship Series at no cost to the club.
If they decide to be included we will count 5 best races of a total of 6 races.
SOUND CONTROL It is very difficult to obtain & keep race sites. We need to
to do a better job with sound control. We will set up our sound meter and monitor
sound levels with the idea of eventually exceeding the IMPBA guidelines.
Lets exchange ideas & help each other to be the best we can be!
We all need to utilize effective muffled pipe & / or muffler combinations.
DISTRICT 1 HIGH POINTS SERIES Luke White & Tim Kish have planned a District 1
Series. The information explaining it is in the IMPBA ROOSTERTAIL.
IMPBA also has listed all of the current race dates.
BRICK POND RACE CIRCULAR RULES, ENTRY INFO, ETC, WILL BE OUT SOON
FIRST RACE IS MAY 17 & 18, Entries due by May 10 .
$15 first class, $5 other classes
